Keep up the good work.Ĭame to this location before the name changed from Kai Sushi. Glad I found Ken's Sushi so close to home. Won't even comment on the rest of the cooked dishes as they were up to the norm for all above average sushi places. It reminded me of "Jiro Dreams of Sushi" documentary where we westerners treat dining as socializing/hangout event and in Japan you hit'n run the food scenery □□ Neat, clean and well organized with great attention to detail. The Chef doesn't appear to be interested in socializing or offering suggestions for the food but his work is art. The baby sardine and few seasonal items on the sushi menu are delicious and highly recommend. Not many places I've been to would be brave enough to have all 4 on the menu consistently. A clear distinction of Tuna, Bluefin, Fatty and Extra Fatty Tuna. Their tuna selection seems very meticulous. With that out of the way here is plenty of great reason for me to come back over and over even after being denied service few times as a walk-in. I now know and would always call ahead unless I show up near the opening time 5:30pm. I've been turned down at least a few times as they were busy so I would strongly suggest to call ahead and inquire for reservation. One person waiting staff and a person in the kitchen to assist with the cooked dishes. Really small place, one Chef at the sushi bar. Thank you to the friendly staff who were very nice to me. If you're looking for a great local sushi spot and haven't stopped in yet, then you have to try them. My dinner tonight was fantastic and I'm most definitely going to return. Price was fairly reasonable and comparative to how delicious the meal was. □Īs for my drink, I think they could have given a more generous size of their yummy raspberry iced tea as it wasn't very big. However, I could not tell if it was Lobster or miniature Shrimps in place of it, lol. I purchased the Shrimp Roll □ that was pretty good and a Lobster Roll □which I strongly recommend as it was bursting with flavor. Instead of six slices of sushi I was surprised to see there was actually eight slices. Despite my initial disappointment in the diameter size of my Sushi Rolls □ I realized that I should put aside my negativities and dive in.
